Letting Go For Stress Relief
Do you sometimes find yourself stressed when things don’t go your way? Wouldn’t it be great to have a method to diffuse those feelings?
Often times we get so caught up in wanting what we want when we want it, that we don’t stop and think about whether or not it’s the best thing for us. Based on our limited 5 senses, we determine what, why, who, when and how, but who’s to say what we think is right, is actually the best way?
We don’t always see the big picture, and as a result, we let our day-to-day existence, issues, conflicts, desires, etc. drive what we believe is the best option for us. But have you ever thought that there might be elements at work that you don’t see? Couldn’t it be possible that there is something better waiting for you once you get past your own limited thinking? How many times over the years did you think you wanted something, only to find out a day, a week, month, a year, 10 years later that it really wasn’t the best option for you?
One thing’s for sure… the more you try to control something, the more it runs away from you. The more you obsess about something, the more elusive it becomes. The concept of letting go really means finding your inner certainty. Knowing that whatever happens, it’s going on for a reason. This reason may be to give you a wake-up call, thereby trying to divert you from something more negative. Or it could be because there is something better waiting around the corner and you need to create space in order to make room for it to manifest in your life. Either way, it’s about feeling calm because you have 100% certainty that what you need will be provided for you as long as you stay positive and proactive in your thoughts and behaviors.
Now, certainly your desires can act as your guidance system, and you can definitely set intentions for yourself. They key not to eliminate desires or to distance yourself from the creative process. Rather, it’s doing all these things with an air of detachment. It’s faithful and certain that you are a co-creator, and knowing that by letting go you end up empowering yourself so much more. Why? Because you no longer worry about whether or not your desires will manifest. You are confident of the best circumstances arising for you, you feel the essence of what you desire as real right now, and you let go to Divine Source to deliver the details to you in the best ways.
What we often don’t realize is that we are all a part of a bigger picture. We are part of a global picture, in which we all affect one another in some way. But we are also part of our own big picture, where we each have our particular purpose. In both cases, there are elements at play and energies throughout the Universe that are guiding us in the right direction. It’s our choice to listen or to ignore; to move with the current, or struggle through wake-up call after wake-up call. It’s up to you to decide.
So today, practice letting go. Let go of your fears, let go of your anger, let go of your selfish desires, just let go of your need to control everything, just let go. Have your goals in mind but let go to the process and let yourself just be, listening to your inner voice and letting go of all the negative chatter that doesn’t serve you.
